What To Expect
We know that visiting a church for the first time can be a daunting task.
It's our hope, however, that you will find the Hondo church to be a welcoming place, with friendly people who just want to get to know you.
We meet every Sunday morning for bible classes at 9:30 AM
Sunday worship service at 10:30 AM
Sunday Evening worship at 6:00 PM
Wednesday Bible class at 7:00 PM
Thursday Ladie’s Class 2:00 PM
1st Sunday of the month Singing practice 5:00 PM (worship leaders 4:30 PM)
You will find a wide variety of styles when you visit. We have some dressed up in suit and ties and others in jeans and a t-shirt.
We have no expectation of what you wear, so just be yourself and wear whatever is comfortable for you.
Please let us know your needs and we will provide classes for any age as needed.
When you join us for our worship service, you will find an active and participatory worship experience. When you walk in, feel free to find any open seat.
- SINGING - You will find that we sing acapella and mix in a variety of traditional and contemporary worship songs. Through singing we teach and remind each other of God’s love and our hope. Everyone participates worshipping God from the heart. Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 13:15
- COMMUNION - You will also find that we practice Communion every Sunday as a way to remember Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection. We invite all believers to take communion with us. Luke 22:14-20; Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Acts 20:6-7
- OFFERING - Soon after our Communion time, we take up an offering from our members and long-term guests to support the ongoing ministries of our church. We do not expect our guests to contribute to the offering. 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
- MESSAGE - Each Sunday there is a time for preaching. It's our hope that during this time of preaching, you will find that the messages are biblical, practical, and inspiring so that we may all seek to grow in the likeness of Jesus.
